Super Friendz presents Beacons Metro....
Now in its 3rd year, Beacons Metro has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting events in the musical calendar, bringing together huge headline artists on bills with the hottest new talent around. Previous years have seen debut Leeds shows for the likes of Loyle Carner, Nao and Mura Masa coupled up with headline performances from artists like Mac Demarco, Local Natives, Roots Manuva and Dinosaur Jr.
Where previous years sprawled out across a week or more dates and various venues around Leeds, Beacons Metro 2017 sees the event streamlined and taking over Canal Mills, a warehouse space on the edge of Leeds city centre, for a weekend of exciting, forward thinking programming. This year's line up sees the return of Jungle, with their first UK performance in 18 months, Swedish electro pop giants Little Dragon and the Godfather of Grime, Wiley, as well as some of the most anticipating new artists around: The mysterious viral sensation Superorganism, Scottish techno wunderkind Makeness and BBC Sound Of Finalist, Nadia Rose to name just a few.
With this year's Beacons Metro set to be the biggest to date it is now the flagship event for Super Friendz, the team behind Belgrave Music Hall, Headrow House, World Island and This Must Be The Place, as well as countless gigs across Leeds, including a huge Autumn programme of shows from likes of Run The Jewels, Slowdive, Loyle Carner, Julia Jacklin, Ibibio Sound Machine and more.
